I wrote my first program on a ZX-81 with 1K RAM some years ago. A bit later I had a „Sinclair Spectrum“ with 48K. As the builtin basic was to slow, I got a basic compiler. Unfortunately there was only one array with 256 entries allowed. Somehow I managed to wrote a pac-man clone with it.

Later, some Sun, HP, Oracle, IBM ago, I met smalltalk. The mother of all OO languages, windows and mice.

With a „c“ and „smalltalk“ background one has a good start for programming iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad Apps..
